Teacher response to Rough Cut

When Mrs McLuckie looked at out her response we that the ideas was good but loose ends had to be tied up for us to get the best marks. As there was the cut in the music at the beginning of the song obviously need to be done. When she was watching the video she said that the first verse was quite boring to watch and the editing was too slow so the shots need to be cut up to create interest and to grab the audience attention. As the tempo of the song increases she said she liked how it become more captivating although she felt the the bathroom scenes needed to be redone as the were not clear enough. Also at the end of the video there is a shot of the mask rising up from the but Mrs McLuckie said that this takes away the suspension form the final shots when the girl drops the mask. Overall she liked the fast shots but some of the sequences were too long.

As well as showing our teacher the rough cut we showed some classmates so they could give us some feedback. They all said that we had a good storyline that need to be changed so there are more exciting shots. A few people put across that they did not like the beginning section with the photos of the clown faces they believed it was a bit boring and did not seem to fit in with the video. Also many people said the bathroom scene did not fit in but a few establishing shots would help it fit in.

Looking at this feedback whilst watching the rough cut I could see where everybody was coming from therefore as a group we will take the constructive criticism to help us develop our music video.
